AUSTIN, Texas — We sat down with the founders of Pyur Organics to talk about how a simple idea turned into a full personal care line.

"We were frustrated," they said. "Everything out there forced a choice. Either it worked and wasn't clean, or it was clean and didn't work."

That frustration led to one goal: build a deodorant that does both.

"No shortcuts. No synthetic fillers. Just ingredients that actually do something."

What started with deodorant quickly grew.

"Once we got that right, people kept asking — what about lip care? Skin? Hair? Face? And honestly, we were already thinking the same thing."

Today, Pyur Organics offers a full line of products — deodorant, lip, face, hair, and skin — all built on the same philosophy.

"Keep it simple. Make it effective. Don't add anything that doesn't need to be there."

The formulas rely on plants, minerals, and traditional ingredients like tallow — not because it's trendy, but because it works.

"A lot of brands overcomplicate things. We went the opposite direction."

Everything is tested the same way too — not in controlled environments, but in real life.

"Austin heat. Long days. Being active. That's the test. If it holds up there, it holds up anywhere."

As the clean personal care space grows, the founders say they're not trying to follow it — they're trying to raise the standard.

"If it doesn't work, we don't care how clean it is. It doesn't make the cut."

Despite expanding into multiple categories, they've stayed focused.

"We're not here to pump out products. We're here to make products that people actually rely on."

And that mindset is rooted in where they're from.

"Austin is real. People here don't buy into hype. They want something that actually delivers. That's how we built this."
